Morocco-Israel Trade Surges 53% Despite Regional Tensions

Trade between Morocco and Israel reached $82.2 million by the end of September 2024, according to a recent report by the Abraham Accords Peace Institute.
Data from the Israeli Central Bureau of Statistics cited in the report indicate that in the first nine months of the current year, trade between Rabat and Tel Aviv reached $82.2 million, up 53% compared to the same period last year.
For the month of September 2024 alone, trade between the two countries stood at $9.2 million, an increase of 64% year-on-year.
Trade between Israel and the other signatories of the Abraham Accords also saw notable increases during the period, up 4% to $2.43 billion for the United Arab Emirates, 988% to $107.7 million for Bahrain, 51% to $430.8 million for Egypt and 1% to $364.1 million for Jordan.
