Morocco Introduces Facial Recognition in 50 Major Train Stations to Enhance Security

The National Railway Office (ONCF) will equip its stations with a facial recognition access control system. This new system, which will be deployed in the 50 main stations of the kingdom, aims to strengthen the security of passengers and goods.
According to the daily Les Inspirations Eco, this system will make it possible to better regulate the flow of people at the ticket offices. The Salé ville station will serve as a pilot to test this device before a large-scale deployment in the other stations of the ONCF network.
The work, which will take four months, will include the supply, installation and commissioning of the equipment. A detailed schedule will have to be submitted for ONCF approval.
