Morocco Intensifies Nationwide Security Efforts to Track Wanted Criminals

The General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) intends to better patrol the Moroccan territory to counter terrorism. It is working to update the list of people wanted by the justice system, both inside and outside Morocco.
A new dynamic is being put in place to better ensure the safety of Moroccans. At the forefront is the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN). It is working, in conjunction with various wilayas of the national security and other services, at the national level, to update the list of people wanted by the justice system inside and outside Morocco, including those wanted by Interpol.
This update will consist of adding new names and removing those of arrested, acquitted and those who have been the subject of abandonment of legal proceedings. To facilitate the arrests, the DGSN intends to categorize the people encountered, according to the charges. First, there will be the most dangerous criminals, followed by those accused of disturbing public order, as well as those prosecuted in commercial transaction cases.
The publication of the list of "dangerous" people wanted internationally by Interpol this year, among other things, explains the determination of the DGSN to wage a fierce fight against crime on Moroccan territory. According to Al Massae, many of them have direct links to terrorism and international drug trafficking cases. Among them are 25 suspects (men and women), all of Moroccan nationality.
To apprehend these criminals, Morocco has already deployed defense and security forces at its border posts.
