Morocco Imposes New COVID-19 Restrictions in Youssoufia Province

The province of Youssoufia has been facing new restrictive measures since this Monday, September 14 and for ten days. The provincial authorities have made this decision to curb the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.
The measures involve the closure at reasonable hours of businesses and public spaces. According to the governor of the province of Youssoufia, Mohamed Salem Essabti, this will be in line with all the measures required to preserve health security.
Thus, neighborhood shops will now close at 6 p.m., workshops at 8 p.m., businesses, cafes and restaurants at 10 p.m. It is strictly forbidden for cafes to broadcast sports matches on TV screens. Public gatherings and the organization of festivities are also prohibited, reports the MAP.
After 10 days, these measures may be renewed or suspended if the epidemiological situation at the provincial level requires it. But the ban on broadcasting sports matches on TV screens in cafes will be maintained throughout the period of the state of health emergency. The governor calls on the inhabitants to strictly respect these measures at the risk of exposing themselves to the rigor of the law, specifies the same source.
