Morocco Implements Health Screenings at Airports and Ports to Prevent Coronavirus Spread

Morocco has required health checks at international ports and airports to detect any imported cases early in order to curb the spread of the Corona virus, if necessary.
"Given the latest developments in the global epidemiological situation, marked by the confirmation of the new virus in other countries, particularly in Europe, Morocco has instituted health checks at international ports and airports, in order to detect any imported cases early and curb the spread of the virus, if necessary," says a statement from the health department.
According to the ministry, the risk of the virus spreading on national territory is low and it confirms, once again, that no suspected or confirmed cases have been recorded to date.
However, the same department reassures the public about the strengthening of the national system of epidemiological surveillance and monitoring. As for the virological and care system for any patients, it is operational, the same source specifies.
