Morocco Identifies Syrian Daesh Emissary Linked to Dismantled Terror Cell

During a press conference held on Monday in Salé, Abdelhak Khiame, Director of the Central Bureau of Judicial Investigation (BCIJ), stated that a Syrian linked to the terrorist cell dismantled on Friday, October 25, in Tamaris II, 30 km south of Casablanca and in Chefchaouen, is currently being identified.
According to the Director of the Central Bureau of Judicial Investigation (BCIJ), he is "an emissary" sent by Daesh to the ringleader of the cell. He also assured that his portrait was being drawn up.
This emissary, who was accompanied by two other individuals, had informed the ringleader of the dismantled cell, during a meeting in the Ouezzane region, of Daesh’s willingness to provide him with the necessary logistics to carry out terrorist acts in Morocco, particularly in Casablanca, said Abdelhak Khiame.
He also stated that the terrorist cell was planning to carry out a large-scale operation, in order to sow psychosis. And this terrorist project targeted very sensitive sites for the security and economy of Morocco, particularly in Casablanca. The objective was to turn the Kingdom into "a bloodbath", concluded the Director of the Central Bureau of Judicial Investigation (BCIJ).
