Morocco’s Housing Boom: Young Buyers and Expats Fuel Government Aid Success

The Delegate Minister in charge of Relations with Parliament, Mustapha Baitas, announced that as of the end of September 2025, a total of 66,305 people had already benefited from this assistance. The total amount released by the State amounts to 5.4 billion dirhams, for a total of nearly 200,000 applications registered on the platform.

The assessment shows a varied profile of beneficiaries. Young people are particularly represented, with about 37% of first-time buyers under the age of 30. The government also notes a significant increase in the share of women, who make up 47% of the beneficiaries. Furthermore, nearly a quarter of the files (24%) come from Moroccans residing abroad.

The analysis of the applications reveals a preference for middle-class housing. Indeed, 62% of the files concern properties valued between 300,000 and 700,000 dirhams, for which the aid is 70,000 dirhams. The remaining 38% concern housing of less than 300,000 dirhams, which entitles to an aid of 100,000 dirhams.
