Morocco Hosts Cultural Program for 600 Children of Expatriates from 16 Countries

600 children of Moroccans residing abroad (MREs) are currently benefiting from a cultural stay in Morocco. This year’s edition is taking place in two periods, from July 21 to August 3 and from August 6 to 19, at the site of the International University of Rabat.
Aged 9 to 11, they have come from different countries, namely France, Belgium, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, Germany, the United States, Great Britain, Saudi Arabia, Mauritania, Senegal, Ivory Coast, Gabon, Gambia, Tunisia and Algeria, according to a press release from the Hassan II Foundation, the organizer of the stay.
The program of this 23rd edition includes games, traditional dances and music from the different regions of Morocco, with the aim of bringing the children closer to Moroccan culture through entertaining processes.
The organizers have also planned sports activities (Handball, Football, Archery, Table Tennis, etc.) and cultural visits (Chellah, Mohammed V Mausoleum, Hassan Tower, Mechouar, Medina of Rabat, Marina of Salé, etc.).
