Morocco’s Highway Authority Projects 5.5% Traffic Growth, Plans 4.1 Billion Dirham Investment

The Société Nationale des Autoroutes du Maroc (ADM) is counting on a significant increase in its turnover next year. According to forecasts, it should reach 4.4 billion dirhams, driven by an estimated 5.5% increase in traffic.
The state-owned company attaches paramount importance to the maintenance of its network. In this perspective, more than 600 million dirhams will be devoted to road maintenance, thus ensuring the safety and fluidity of traffic for users.
During its last Board of Directors meeting, chaired by Nizar Baraka, Minister of Equipment and Water, ADM set its investment budget for the coming year. This budget, which amounts to 4.1 billion dirhams, will be mainly allocated to large-scale projects in the Greater Casablanca region.
Among the priority projects are the construction of two new highways: Tit Mellil – Berrechid and Rabat-Casablanca Continentale. These structuring projects aim to decongest traffic and improve connections between the different hubs of the region.
In parallel, ADM plans major development works at the Sidi Maarouf and Aïn Harrouda highway interchanges. The objective is to streamline traffic and strengthen safety at these critical points of the network.
The redevelopment works of these two interchanges were launched at the end of November. Mobilizing an investment of 1.1 billion dirhams, they incorporate innovative technical solutions, never used before in Morocco.
These developments are part of a global development strategy for the Casablanca-Settat region. They are notably aimed at facilitating access to the Grand Stade de Casablanca and supporting the continuous growth of highway traffic.
