Morocco Halts International Flights for 2 Weeks as Omicron Variant Spreads

Faced with the rapid spread of the new Covid-19 variant, Omicron, particularly in Europe and Africa, Morocco has just decided to suspend all passenger flights to the Kingdom for a period of 15 days.
This suspension takes effect this Monday, November 29, 2021 at 11:59 pm, announced the Interministerial Committee for Monitoring Covid.
"Due to the rapid spread of the new variant of the Covid-19 virus - Omicron (B.1.1.529), particularly in Europe and Africa, and in order to preserve the achievements made by Morocco in the fight against the pandemic and protect the health of citizens, it has been decided to suspend all direct passenger flights to the Kingdom of Morocco, for a period of 2 weeks, starting Monday, November 29, 2021 at 11:59 pm," the press release states.
However, the situation will be regularly evaluated, the Committee specifies, stating that it may be adjusted if necessary.
