Morocco Grapples with Illegal Visa Brokers Exploiting Schengen Application Process

The scale of the phenomenon of illegal intermediaries in obtaining visa appointments is worrying the parliamentary group of the Party of Progress and Socialism (PPS), which has addressed a question on this subject to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nasser Bourita.
Despite the efforts of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, several Moroccan citizens continue to be subject to the law of illegal intermediaries in obtaining visa appointments, notes the PPS group in the House of Representatives, urging the Nasser Bourita department to wage a fierce battle against these illegal intermediaries, reports the daily Al Ahdath Al Maghribia.
The parliamentary group recalls that Schengen visa applications are the exclusive prerogative of the consulate or embassy of the country concerned. It also denounces the poor reception reserved for Moroccan citizens in the visa application centers of foreign countries in Morocco, calling on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to strengthen communication with foreign missions in order to simplify the procedures for visa applicants.
