Morocco Fines Hundreds for Violating COVID-19 Travel Restrictions

About a hundred people were fined on Tuesday evening at the Tangier train station by the police. They are accused of not having an exceptional travel permit.
These fined people came from Casablanca, Rabat, Fez and Meknes. For violating the state of health emergency, these travelers must pay a fine of 300 dirhams, as provided by law, reports Alyaoum24, which points out that this operation was carried out under the supervision of the Wali and other local authorities.
Several other cities have also decided to crack down on offenders. This is the case in Rabat, where a dozen tickets were issued by the police for non-compliance with the measures. The same fines are reported in Salé and Marrakech.
