Morocco Eyes Chinese L-15 Falcon to Modernize Air Force

The Royal Moroccan Air Force is reportedly about to modernize its air fleet. According to several sources, the Chinese L-15 Falcon aircraft is expected to replace the venerable Alpha Jet, currently in service.
This trainer fighter, developed by Hongdu Aviation Industry Group, has performance that seems to strongly interest the Moroccan authorities.
With a maximum speed of Mach 1.4 and a payload capacity of 3,500 kg, the L-15 Falcon can perform training missions, but also light attack missions. It thus positions itself as a serious contender against other aircraft of the same type, such as the Russian Yak-130 or the Italian M-346. Its electronic flight control system and PESA radar allow pilots to be trained on the most modern, fourth and even fifth generation fighters.
Already adopted by several African countries, such as Zambia and Ethiopia, but also by the United Arab Emirates, the L-15 Falcon is on the rise. Pakistan and Ukraine are also said to have expressed interest in this fighter aircraft. Will Morocco be the next on the list?
