Morocco Extends International Flight Ban Until January 31 Amid Omicron Concerns

The Moroccan authorities have decided to extend the suspension of air links until January 31, 2022. An announcement made by the National Airports Office (ONDA).
"Extension of the suspension of all passenger flights to and from Morocco until January 31, 2022," writes the National Airports Office (ONDA) on its official Twitter account this Friday, December 24, 2021.
The Moroccan authorities had decided to suspend flights on November 29 until December 31, due to the rapid spread of the new variant of the Covid-19 virus, Omicron, particularly in Europe and Africa. A decision that is also motivated by the desire to preserve the achievements made by Morocco in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic and to protect the health of citizens.
On December 9, this decision had been extended until December 31 (at 11:59 p.m.).
