Morocco Extends COVID-19 State of Emergency Through November 30

Morocco has decided to extend the state of health emergency until November 30, 2022, in order to deal with the spread of Covid-19 in the country.
The Council of Government was held on Thursday under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch. During this weekly meeting, a draft decree extending the validity period of the state of health emergency throughout the national territory until November 3, 2022 was approved.
This extension of the state of health emergency will allow, it is affirmed, to ensure the effectiveness of the measures taken in the framework of the fight against the prolongation of the pandemic, it is specified.
For the record, this draft decree grants the government authority in charge of the Interior to take, in the light of the epidemiological situation, all appropriate measures at the national level.
