Morocco Extends COVID-19 State of Emergency Through June Amid Pandemic Concerns

Once again, Morocco has just decided to extend the state of health emergency until the end of June, in order to deal with the spread of Covid-19 in the country.
A draft decree was approved in this sense, on Thursday, during the Council of Government meeting, according to a statement from the executive.
This extension of the state of health emergency will in particular make it possible to ensure the effectiveness of the measures taken in the context of the fight against the extension of the pandemic, it is specified.
For the record, this draft decree grants the government authority in charge of the Interior the power to take all necessary measures in relation to the evolution of the epidemiological situation in the country.
