Morocco Extends COVID-19 State of Emergency as Cases Surge

Morocco has extended the state of health emergency until November 10. The resurgence of new coronavirus infections is behind this decision in force in Morocco since last March, i.e. for 7 months already.
Moroccans will have to wait a little longer before resuming their activities normally and moving freely throughout the country. A new decree was adopted during the Council of Government to ratify this extension of the state of health emergency.
In addition, the easing or tightening of the measures of the state of health emergency are still in force in the Kingdom and will be applied according to the epidemiological situation of each region.
Yesterday, Morocco recorded 2,776 new infections, a record since the start of the epidemic.
