Morocco Extends COVID-19 Precautions Amid Concerns Over New Variants

As of this Tuesday, March 30 and until April 15, the prevention and precautionary measures adopted on January 13 will be maintained. This is the decision of the government to protect the population from a third wave of the new coronavirus (Covid-19).
In a statement, the government specifies that this decision is based on the recommendations of the Scientific and Technical Commission, which suggested the need to maintain the necessary measures to fight the spread of the coronavirus.
This extension also comes to block the new variants that have appeared in some European countries. While calling on the population to respect these measures, the statement indicates that this decision is part of the ongoing efforts to contain the spread of the epidemic and limit its negative repercussions.
