Morocco Expresses Condolences as Deadly Forest Fires Ravage Northern Algeria

Morocco is following with great pain and regret the forest fires that have broken out in certain regions of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, according to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Residing Abroad.
On this painful occasion, the Kingdom of Morocco presents its sincere condolences for the loss of human life caused by these forest fires, as well as its sincere wishes for a speedy recovery of the injured, adds the statement.
According to an official report published on Monday, 34 people were killed in the forest fires ravaging the forests in northern Algeria. The largest number of victims was recorded in Kabylie with 22 deaths and 194 injured.
