Morocco: An expatriate Moroccan sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of his wife and children in France

More than ten years ago, a Moroccan committed a horrific crime in France. He killed his wife, who was in the process of divorcing him, and his three children before fleeing. He was arrested in Morocco and has just been sentenced to life imprisonment by the Court of Appeal of Nador.
On June 24, 2013, the victim’s mother discovered her lifeless body in her apartment in Saint-Paul-Trois-Châteaux. The young woman, aged 29, had been stabbed 47 times.
The next day, the bodies of the three children, aged 8 and a half, 7 and a half and 2, were found in the murderer’s car, parked 500 meters from the family home. Two of them died by asphyxiation and the third by strangulation.
In November 2017, the murderer was sentenced in absentia to life imprisonment with a security period of 22 years. A European arrest warrant was issued against him.
In March 2022, after nine years on the run, the man was arrested in Morocco. He has just been sentenced to life imprisonment by the Court of Appeal of Nador.
