Morocco Expands Mosque-Based Literacy Program, Reaching Rural Women

The literacy program in mosques, with broadcasting on television and the Internet, begins on October 10, for the 2019-2020 school year. The Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs announced this in a press release published on Friday.
The courses of the two levels of the literacy program will be given in the mosques and will also be broadcast on the Moroccan channel, Assadissa, starting from October 10.
The Ministry, in its press release, revealed that last year, a total of 315,854 people, of whom 96.16% were women, were able to benefit from this program. 45.20% of the beneficiaries live in the rural world.
The Ministry is pleased with this feat and hopes to have an impact on more people during this school year, which begins on October 10.
