Morocco Expands Military Fleet with New Indian Truck Order

Morocco has just placed an order for a new batch of military trucks from the Indian manufacturer Tata Advanced Systems Limited (TASL).
This is the Tata 6x6 LPTA 2445 model, a vehicle of which the Moroccan army already has 90 units delivered in January 2023. This new acquisition confirms the growing partnership between the two countries in the field of defense.
The ordered trucks are of the "Defence Dump Truck" variant, a versatile configuration that differs from the previous models acquired by Morocco. While the latter were mainly intended for the transport of troops, ammunition and equipment, the new vehicles will be used to transport construction materials, supplies and water.
According to Indian sources, these trucks "enhance the logistical efficiency of the Royal Armed Forces" and "offer fast and reliable transport" even on difficult terrain. This will "further accentuate the operational flexibility of the Moroccan forces".
