Morocco Expands Military Arsenal with $61 Million German Arms Purchase

Morocco is supplied with weapons from European and American countries. After France, the United States, etc., the kingdom bought more than 61 million euros worth of weapons from Germany in 2019.
In a tweet on the actuDefenseMaroc Twitter account, the report of the German Ministry on arms exports in 2019 reveals that among Morocco’s acquisitions amounting to 61.4 million euros are drones/UAVs with their equipment, spare parts for aircraft and surveillance radars.
According to the report of the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI), the kingdom is the 31st largest importer of major arms in the world in 2015-2019.
Furthermore, the United States accounts for 91% of Morocco’s arms imports, followed by France (8.9%) and the United Kingdom (0.3%), according to Le Desk.
