Morocco Expands Fez Airport in $50 Million Upgrade for 2030 World Cup

Morocco is active in the extension and redevelopment of Fez-Saiss Airport in anticipation of the 2030 World Cup, which it will co-host with Spain and Portugal. In this regard, the National Airports Office (ONDA) has launched a pre-qualified tender.
The extension and redevelopment work on the Fez-Saiss airport terminals will soon begin. The National Airports Office (ONDA) has officially launched a pre-qualified tender for the realization of this work, the budget of which is estimated at 500 million dirhams (MDH), reports Challenge. The project includes a passenger terminal of approximately 46,000 m², including the extension, which will consist of two levels. Spread over an area of 13,590 m², the basement level will house the baggage sorting system, technical rooms, baggage sorting support rooms, of which 6,645 m² already exist, and 6,945 m² dedicated to the extension.
