Morocco Expands Covid-19 Vaccination to 50-55 Age Group in Push for Herd Immunity

In Morocco, people aged between 50 and 55 will now be able to benefit from the Covid-19 vaccination. The announcement was made by the Ministry of Health on Saturday.
This measure to expand the vaccination process is part of the government’s vision to achieve collective immunity, explains the department of Khalid Ait Taleb, calling on the people concerned by this campaign to continue to adhere to it. The Ministry of Health also appealed to the sense of responsibility and patriotism of citizens, inviting them to respect the rules of hygiene and health safety, as well as the preventive measures enacted by the authorities.
As of Saturday, May 8, 5,473,809 people have been vaccinated in the country, including 4,390,752 fully, the ministry said, inviting the citizens concerned to send a free SMS to 1717 or through the electronic portal www.liqahcorona.ma to find out the place and time of vaccination.
