Morocco to Expand Aid for Vulnerable Widows with Orphaned Children

The Council of Government, chaired by the Head of Government Aziz Akhannouch, will meet on Thursday, April 6 to examine several draft decrees, according to a press release from the Department of the Head of Government published on Monday.

Among the draft decrees on the agenda are temporary measures relating to eligibility for direct aid to widows in precarious situations with dependent orphaned children. This draft decree aims to improve support for vulnerable widows facing economic difficulties, especially those responsible for young children.

Another draft decree concerns the conditions for granting the State guarantee to cover emergency liquidity needs. This draft decree aims to strengthen the country’s financial stability by providing a State guarantee for the cash flow needs of distressed companies.

The third draft decree on the agenda is taken in application of the law relating to the organization of contractual volunteering. This draft decree aims to clarify the modalities and conditions for the engagement of contract volunteers, in order to promote volunteering as a means of contributing to the development of society and strengthening citizen participation.

Finally, the fourth draft decree deals with the forms and procedures for payment and distribution of aid from the Fund for the Modernization of Public Administration and Support for Digital Transition and the Use of Amazigh. This draft decree aims to modernize the public administration and promote the use of the Amazigh language.
