Morocco Euro Dirham Exchange Rate Drops 2026
The euro continues to lose ground against the dirham, at a time when many MREs are staying in Morocco. The decline remains limited, but it gradually reduces the amount obtained during an exchange or transfer from abroad.
The dirham appreciated by 0.2% against the euro between July 9 and 15, 2026, according to the latest weekly indicators from Bank Al-Maghrib. It had already gained 0.2% against the European currency during the previous week.

The reference rate of the euro thus moved from 10.691 dirhams on July 9 to 10.658 dirhams on July 15. It even fell to 10.642 dirhams on July 13, its lowest level for the period.

At the reference rate, 1,000 euros made it possible to obtain 10,691 dirhams on July 9, compared to 10,658 dirhams six days later. The difference thus reaches 33 dirhams. It remains modest on a single transaction, but becomes more visible for large transfers or when added to exchange commissions.
