Morocco Enhances Airport Safety with New Air Navigation Regulations

The Moroccan government has decided to clean up the airport environment in order to ensure the safety of aircraft during the approach and takeoff phases.
Meeting in council, the government examined and adopted two draft decrees relating to air navigation.
The first concerns the clearance easements installed near airports open to air navigation, reports the MAP citing the communiqué published at the end of the council.
This project aims to define the technical specifications and characteristics for the installation and maintenance of evacuation facilities located near airports open to public air navigation, and to promote the international civil aviation sector in the country.
The second decree specifies the conditions for the installation of radio electrical installations created next to communication, navigation and control equipment related to air navigation.
Its objective is to define the technical specifications that serve as a basis for the establishment of radio electrical easements for communication, navigation and recognition equipment, as well as the procedures for establishing and approving these easements, in accordance with the provisions of Chapter III of the Civil Aviation Code.
