Morocco Emerges as Top Summer Destination for French Tourists, Average Budget Hits €1,502

An average budget of 1502 euros. This is the amount that the French will devote to their summer holidays. A panorama that took a look at the issue last Thursday on Europe 1 also pointed out that Morocco is among the preferred destinations of the French.
The French are increasingly offering themselves more beautiful holidays. This is revealed by a panorama carried out by Protourisme and which was broadcast on Europe 1 last Thursday. Indeed, according to Protourisme, "33% of the French are considering a ’commercial’ stay - and not with family or friends, for example". This category of people is found in an increasing proportion.
The same is true for "the budget of vacationers, which will amount to 1,502 euros per household for twelve days (compared to 1,392 euros in 2018)", the radio points out, noting that behind this high cost "there is an increase in paid accommodation stays", as revealed by the specialized firm.
For this year’s account, this study indicates that 46% of the French will take a vacation, compared to 45% last year. However, 59% will opt for French destinations, while 29% will prefer to go abroad. There will remain 12% of French people who until now do not know whether they will go on vacation or not.
For the 2019 holidays, the French will once again set their sights on Spain and Italy, which have always been "the two countries most popular with the French", according to the same source. But they will also massively travel to Portugal, Greece, or even Morocco and Tunisia during their holidays.
