Morocco Eliminates Travel Forms at Borders, Streamlining Entry and Exit Procedures

As of this Monday, September 16, the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) will no longer require travelers to fill out embarkation forms, when leaving Morocco as well as when arriving, in order to inform the border police.
According to sources cited by the site le360 and Médias24, this information is a major first for the Moroccan police. The embarkation forms that were submitted to every passenger and that he had to present to the border police at the ports and airports of the kingdom will fall into oblivion as they will be simply abandoned. This is the decision of the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN).
According to the police authorities of the kingdom, the "police form" as it is called no longer has a reason to exist. And the measure itself aims to streamline traffic at the country’s airports and ports, particularly at passport control points.
In fact, this measure is part of the implementation of a new policy that aims to put an end to the dysfunctions experienced, in particular, by the airports of the kingdom, especially that of Mohammed V in Casablanca, indicates the same source, which recalls that this measure also concerns the control points at the land borders of Ceuta and Melilla.
This measure, if confirmed, is good news for Moroccans living abroad who have been complaining about it for many years without the Moroccan authorities providing a solution.
