Morocco Education Ministry Condemns Teacher’s Classroom Violence After Video Surfaces

The regional directorate of the Ministry of National Education in Kelaâ Es-Sraghna has just reacted following the dissemination of a video showing "the violent behavior of an educational cadre towards two students in a classroom".
This is a dispute between a teacher and two students that would have degenerated into a violent altercation, explains the ministry, according to which the facts date back to Wednesday, January 2. Denouncing "an anti-pedagogical act", the ministry explains that "all necessary measures have been taken on an educational and administrative level" and following this incident "a reconciliation between the two parties took place with the presence of the guardians of the two students".
An educational commission was to go to the site yesterday "as part of the follow-up of this case" and the "required administrative and disciplinary measures will be taken in accordance with the legislative texts in force in this matter".
