Morocco Eases COVID-19 Restrictions in Most Regions, Lifting Travel Permits

The reclassification of all prefectures and provinces in the easing zone No. 1, with the exception of Tanger-Assilah, Marrakech, Larache and Kenitra, has allowed the removal of several restrictive measures and the restoration of certain freedoms.
Following the first phase, the second phase of the easing plan, which takes into account the epidemiological situation, allows people to go out without a special permit. Also, public urban transport will resume, with an operation at 50% of the capacity.
According to a statement from the Ministry of the Interior, this involves freely moving within the territorial perimeter of the place of residence, without the obligation to obtain a permit to reopen hairdressing salons and beauty institutes with an operation not exceeding 50% of the capacity.
In addition, it is necessary to reopen outdoor public spaces and resume individual outdoor sports activities. Finally, all other restrictions decreed during the state of health emergency must be maintained, adds the same source.
