Morocco Eases COVID-19 Restrictions, Increases Public Transport Capacity to 75%

With the decline in infections observed in recent weeks, the government has eased the restrictive measures in the field of school and personnel transportation. Initially limited to 50%, the authorized capacity is now increased to 75% of passengers, the Ministry of Equipment, Transport, Logistics and Water announced on Friday, January 29, 2021.
In a press release, the ministry stated that this decision was taken "following the resumption of economic activity after the general health lockdown that our country has experienced, which has led to an increase in demand for public road transport of people."
The ministry also invited users to respect the measures and provisions included in the specifications relating to the public transport of people during this pandemic to fight against the spread of Covid-19 and its harmful consequences. It also specified that the services of the ministry, at the central and territorial levels, remain at the disposal of citizens and professionals to ensure the proper application of the provisions of the specifications.
In addition, the services of the 4646 call center are available to answer all questions and receive complaints about observed violations.
