Morocco to Donate 500 Tons of Fertilizer to Saint Vincent and Grenadines, Boosting Agricultural Cooperation

Morocco plans to make a major donation of fertilizers to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines next year. A roadmap for cooperation between the two countries over the next three to five years is being developed.
A Moroccan delegation led by the director of international development visited Saint Vincent and the Grenadines to meet with Prime Minister Ralph Gonsalves and Cabinet members. On the agenda of this visit: areas of future cooperation, including educational opportunities, agricultural and technical assistance. Ralph Gonsalves said they are developing "a roadmap for relations over the next three to five years."
In a statement to NBC, he announced that the Moroccan government will offer 500 tons or 10,000 bags of fertilizer to his country in 2023. "Once we finalize that with the Moroccans, no farmer will spend money on fertilizers next year... which is a big boost for them," he said, also noting that Morocco is providing them with technical assistance through soil fertility testing. "The Moroccans are already doing soil fertility tests, we need to intensify that so that farmers feel the impact of this technical work... it is essential to work," insisted the Prime Minister.
