Morocco’s M’diq-Fnideq Region Imposes Night Curfew and Business Restrictions Amid COVID-19 Surge

New restrictive measures have been taken by the local authorities of the prefecture of M’diq-Fnideq, including the imposition of a night curfew. They take effect this Friday, October 23.
As soon as these new measures were announced, roadblocks were installed at the various entrances and exits of the two cities to limit movements.
In addition to controlling movements, the prefecture requires the closure of businesses, cafes and restaurants, hammams, hairdressers and gyms from 9 p.m. in order to respect the night curfew decreed from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. As for gyms, they must operate at only 50% of their capacity.
Furthermore, access to public spaces such as gardens and playgrounds is prohibited until further notice, it is specified.
