Morocco: New developments in the trial of drug trafficker Oualid Sekkaki
The anti-money laundering chamber in Fès has postponed the trial of drug trafficker Oualid Sekkaki to May 13th. Extradited from Belgium in 2022, he must answer charges of international drug trafficking and money laundering.
The court of first instance in Fès has decided to postpone the case in order to summon the three other defendants from Tétouan, Oujda and Taounate. Oualid Sekkaki’s defense has also requested this additional delay to consult the entire case file. The defendant is being prosecuted for his alleged involvement in a vast criminal network of drug and psychotropic trafficking.
