Morocco Deploys Rare Canadair Water Bombers to Combat Massive Forest Fire

The Canadair CL-415T amphibious water bomber aircraft acquired by Morocco have been a major ally of the FAR in fighting the flames that engulfed the "Sougna" forest last week. Zoom in on this sky firefighter that unfortunately very few countries have.
Morocco, with a fleet of five aircraft, is the only Arab and African country to have them, security sources say, adding that they were mobilized to stop the spread of the fire that has ravaged about 1,100 hectares in the province of Chefchaouen since Saturday.
The Canadair is an amphibious water bomber aircraft that allows, in just ten seconds, to pour up to 6,137 liters of water, mixed with extinguishing liquid by takeoff, directly onto the fire of a declared fire.
Thus, the FAR were able to pour some 450 tons of water using the four aircraft mobilized to control the fire while succeeding in stopping its spread.
It takes only twelve seconds above a water reserve (a lake, a basin, seawater, a river...), with a depth of 2 meters and a width of 90 meters minimum, for this air firefighter to make a full cargo of water.
