Morocco Deploys Military Medical Teams to Boost COVID-19 Vaccination Efforts

To accelerate the pace of the vaccination campaign against Covid-19, a military medical team composed of doctors and nurses has been called in to reinforce the Ministry of Health. They are deployed in several regions of the kingdom.
Morocco has decided to call on the defense forces, in accordance with royal instructions, in an attempt to stop the spread of the coronavirus through mass vaccination in some of the most affected regions and in areas where the vaccination rate is low, reports the MAP.
Thus, these military teams contributed, on Thursday, to the vaccination of citizens, at the Ibn Rochd sports complex in Rabat, the same source specifies, stating that these operations are carried out in full compliance with preventive measures, such as the wearing of masks, the observance of physical distancing and sterilization, in accordance with the standards adopted by the health authorities.
On this occasion, the medical chief of the Rabat Health Establishment Network, Karim Mohamed Nabil, indicated that the civilian medical staff under the Ministry of Health are combining efforts with their military counterparts to ensure the smooth running of the vaccination operation under the best conditions.
He recalled that the center is open to all from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., thus calling on citizens to get vaccinated in order to curb the spread of the pandemic and achieve collective immunity, the same source notes.
For her part, Captain Doctor Imane Sefiani pointed out that "in execution of the instructions of King Mohammed VI, medical teams from the Inspection of the military health service composed of doctors and nurses have been mobilized in order to support the efforts deployed by the Ministry of Health for the success of the vaccination operation aimed at achieving collective immunity".
It should be recalled that the free vaccination campaign aims to immunize all components of the Moroccan people (30 million to vaccinate about 80% of the population), to reduce and then eliminate cases of contamination and death due to the epidemic, and to contain the spread of the virus.
