Morocco Deploys Chinese HJ-9A Anti-Tank Missiles in Military Exercises

The Chinese HJ-9A anti-tank missile system has been identified in images of military exercises conducted by the Royal Armed Forces (FAR) of Morocco as part of the 67th anniversary of their creation.
Also known as the "Red Arrow 9A", the Chinese HJ-9A anti-tank missile has a range of 5.5 km and can be mounted on a vehicle or a tripod from the ground. It has already been used by the Moroccan army in a Humvee, recalls Defensa.
This missile was primarily designed to destroy tanks, armored vehicles and fortifications. It was officially put into service in 2005 within the Chinese People’s Liberation Army. The HJ-9A is capable of penetrating up to 1,200 mm of reactive armor with its tandem warhead and uses a millimeter-wave radar guidance system.
In addition to the Chinese HJ-9A, the Moroccan army also has the wire-guided HJ-8L system, American systems (several variants of the TOW missile), French MILAN, Ukrainian SKIF, Israeli SPIK, Russian KORNET and Konkurs missiles.
