Morocco Denies Rumors of School Closures, Classes to Resume as Scheduled

For the past few days, rumors have been circulating about a decision made by the Moroccan Ministry of Education to suspend classes as of this February 1st. Serious fabrications on which the ministry has provided a formal denial, through a press release.
In a clarification, the ministry rejected the false press release attributed to it, which announced that studies will be suspended until further notice for all levels and streams starting February 1st. The ministry reminds students and parents that nothing has been changed, and that the resumption of studies will take place, as planned, this Monday, February 1st, 2021.
The ministry calls on the population to always get information through the official channels of the department, by consulting its website and its official pages on social networks. It reminds that this kind of fake news is part of the acts punished in accordance with the law.
