Morocco Debunks Rumors: Electricity and Water Bills Still Due During Pandemic

Fake news reaches the National Office of Electricity and Drinking Water (ONEE). Information has been circulating on social networks for a few days, claiming that due to the coronavirus pandemic, the payment of electricity and water bills is suspended until further notice.
ONEE has not been slow to deny "these erroneous and false information" circulated by people whose sole purpose is to sow doubt and confusion in the minds of the population.
ONEE informs Moroccans that despite the state of health emergency, the means dedicated to the payment of bills are still available. It also invites customers to consult the official press releases in order not to fall into the trap of rumors and false information circulated in this period of health crisis that is trying for everyone.
Furthermore, ONEE reminds that any dissemination of false content will be reported to the justice system.
