Morocco Cracks Down: Unlicensed Tricycle Drivers Face Legal Penalties

The National Road Safety Agency (Narsa) informs Moroccans that driving a tricycle without a license is now considered an offense punishable by law, like any offense committed by any type of motor vehicle authorized to circulate on the public highway.
NARSA made this reminder following the dissemination on social networks of a video in which a Moroccan citizen declared that tricycle insurance does not cover "compensation for material and physical damage caused to others in the event of a traffic accident".
According to the figures published by the National Road Safety Agency, "the total number of tricycles exceeds 91,300 registered units" in Morocco, reports 2M.ma, which specifies that "this type of vehicle is intended exclusively for the transport of goods".
