Morocco Cracks Down on Unauthorized Alterations to COVID Vaccination Passports

Some practices of the managers of the printing houses in charge of printing the vaccination passport in different regions of Morocco are not to the liking of the Minister of the Interior, Abdelouafi Laftit. He warns them against any falsification of the vaccination passport.
The managers of the printing houses in charge of printing the vaccination pass are in the sights of the Minister of the Interior. The modifications made to the document are at issue. It has been found that some printing houses offer other services to print the document in other formats, reports Al Akhbar. They also sometimes add other data. They insert the identity photo of the person concerned on the vaccination pass and reformulate his data before printing the document in another format, it is explained. They also use advertising to attract customers.
The local authorities take a dim view of these practices that cause the vaccination passport to lose its original form and authenticity. Printing house managers have been warned against any falsification of the document. "This vaccination pass is an official, secure and recognized document by the authorities, which allows its holder, without any need for additional documents, to travel throughout the national territory without restriction, to circulate beyond 11 p.m. and to travel abroad," the government said in a statement. It is equipped with a QR code allowing it to be authenticated via an application. The document can also be downloaded in printable or electronic format to be presented on a smartphone.
