Morocco’s COVID-19 Cases Surpass 4,200, Casablanca-Settat Region Hardest Hit

The number of cases tested positive for covid-19 in Morocco has reached 4,246, after the identification of 126 additional cases.
According to the new report established by the Ministry of Health, the number of recovered cases stands at 739, with 44 new recoveries, while the number of deaths has reached 163, after the recording of a new case.
As for the number of cases excluded after negative analysis results in the laboratory, it was established at 26,122.
Nearly two months after the first contamination, the Casablanca-Settat region still has the largest number of confirmed cases (1,075), followed by Marrakech-Safi (843). Then come Fès-Meknès (520), Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima (544) and Drâa-Tafilalet (494).
In addition, a significant decrease in cases has been recorded in the epidemic hotspots over the past 24 hours.
