Morocco’s COVID-19 Cases Surge to 3,889 as Casablanca Region Tops 1,000

The coronavirus pandemic continues to accelerate in Morocco. The toll rises to 3,889 confirmed cases this Saturday, April 25, 2020.
Nearly two months after the first covid-19 case in Morocco, the number of recovered people is approaching 500 against 159 deaths.
Regarding the new distribution map, the Casablanca-Settat region has crossed the 1,000 case mark (1,040), far ahead of Marrakech-Safi (818), followed by Fez-Meknes (503) and Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima (495).
Morocco continues to multiply measures to curb the new coronavirus. To date, they have, according to the authorities, proven effective and continue to positively influence the daily report, making the kingdom a reference in the Middle East and Africa.
According to the Head of Government, Saad-Eddine El Othmani, the lifting of confinement, one of the measures among many others, will be done gradually, depending on the epidemiological situation of the regions.
