Morocco’s COVID-19 Cases Surge to 791, Death Toll Rises to 48

The Ministry of Health announced thirty new cases of covid-19 contamination. This brings the total to 791 confirmed positive cases.
With these new figures, the number of deaths has increased and is now at 48 new cases against 57 cases of recovery, the ministry said.
As for the 791 positive cases, they were recorded in the regions of Casablanca-Settat (226), the region most affected in Morocco, Rabat Salé Kenitra (142), Marrakech-Safi (129), Fès-Meknes (117), Tanger Tetouan Al Hoceima (58), the Oriental (39), Beni Mellal-Khénifra (25), Daraa-tafilalet (31), Souss-Massa (19), Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (4) and Guelmim Oued Noun (1), the site notes, noting that the Dakhla-Oued Ed Dahab region has not recorded any cases.
The ministry once again calls on Moroccans to respect the rules of hygiene and health safety and the preventive measures taken by the Moroccan authorities by showing responsibility and patriotism.
