Morocco’s COVID-19 Cases Surge to 3,568 as Contact Tracing Intensifies

The toll of the new coronavirus continues to worsen in Morocco. 122 new cases have been confirmed for a total of 3,568 confirmed infections since the beginning of the epidemic.
Since early March, the number of deaths has stood at 155 against 456 cases of recovery.
According to the Ministry of Health, the majority of new cases are detected through the monitoring of contact cases. In the last 24 hours, 109 out of the 122 new cases are contact cases tested positive, or 90%.
In addition, some clusters continue to record cases, with a real slowdown in the pace of progression. A total of 40 new cases have been recorded in the last 24 hours.
To reduce the spread rate of covid-19, the ministry has once again called on Moroccans to respect the rules of hygiene and health safety as well as the preventive measures taken by the Moroccan authorities by showing responsibility and patriotism.
