Morocco’s COVID-19 Cases Near 3,000 as Casablanca-Settat Region Leads

Morocco is about to reach the 3,000 mark of confirmed COVID-19 cases, this Sunday after the announcement of 135 new infections.
The balance sheet of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Morocco now stands at 2,820 cases, this Sunday, April 19 at 10 a.m. To date, 1 death and 8 recoveries have been recorded, bringing the official toll respectively to 138 deaths and 322 recoveries since the start of the epidemic in Morocco.
Furthermore, the number of cases excluded after negative analysis results carried out in the laboratory is 11,369, it is indicated.
As for the 2,820 confirmed positive cases, Casablanca-Settat totals 779 cases and remains the most affected region, ahead of Marrakech-Safi (720), Fès-Meknès (401), Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (268), Tanger Tétouan Al Hoceima (321), the Oriental (148), Daraa-tafilalet (83), Beni Mellal-Khénifra (58), Souss-Massa (44), Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (4), Dakhla-Oued Ed Dahab (2) and Guelmim Oued Noun (1).
