Thursday 26 September 2019, by
The recent Report of the Court of Auditors revealed shortcomings and overruns involving many Moroccan political leaders. Among them are 11 Ministers of the current Government, who have just been summoned by the opposition parties to question them about the findings before Parliament.
According to the daily Assabah, the Istiqlal Party has called on several ministers and senior officials to appear before the elected representatives of the nation, in order to answer for the irregularities noted by the Court of Auditors.
These are the Ministers of Health, Anas Doukkali, of Economy and Finance, Mohamed Benchaaboun, of Agriculture and Maritime Fisheries, Aziz Akhannouch, of Energy and Mines, Aziz Rebbah, of National Education, Said Amzazi, of Culture and Communication, Mohamed El Aaraj, and of Youth and Sports, Aziz Talbi El Alami.
The list of senior officials also summoned by the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM) also includes the Ministers of Family and Solidarity, Bassima Hakkaoui, and of Labor and Professional Reintegration, Mohamed Yatim, as well as the Delegate Minister in charge of Relations with Parliament, Mustapha El Khalfi, as well as the Director of the National Social Security Fund, and the respective High Commissioners of Veterans and Water and Forests.
The PAM insisted on the need to question the officials before the members of Parliament, in order to shed light on the gray areas relating to the different sectors, adding that the Party has data more important than the report of the Court of Auditors.
