Morocco Considers Purchasing Rafale Fighter Jets from France

Dassault Aviation could well end the year on a high note. After concluding the sale of twelve Rafale aircraft to Serbia during the visit of President Emmanuel Macron, the French aerospace manufacturer could sell its aircraft to Morocco.
Its CEO, Éric Trappier, told Europe 1 that a new contract could be signed by the end of the year with another country.
"I think we can expect another contract before the end of the year," said the CEO, adding that it would be "a real challenge" that would ensure the sustainability of the company. Dassault Aviation has also confirmed that it has entered into negotiations with several countries potentially interested in the Rafale.
This announcement comes as President Macron is about to make a visit to Morocco, in a context of diplomatic rapprochement between the two countries following Paris’ recognition of Morocco’s sovereignty over the Sahara. While no direct link has been established between this visit and the ongoing negotiations, the timing cannot help but fuel speculation.
In any case, this news confirms the growing success of the Rafale on the international scene. The French fighter jet, renowned for its versatility and performance, is increasingly seducing countries in search of a high-end aircraft.
